Electronic business, commonly referred to as "eBusiness" or "e-business"  is the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in support of all the activities of business. Electronic business methods enable companies to link their internal and external data processing systems more efficiently and flexibly, to work more closely with suppliers and partners, and to better satisfy the needs and expectations of their customers. eBusiness has been and remains a critical aspect for the success of many organizations. 

eBC (Ottawa eBusiness cluster)  is Ottawa's primary e-Business and e-Commerce hub. eBC’s activities are geared towards companies engaged in online business in any way, as well as for providers, suppliers and support services to the e-Business sector. eBC provides networking, marketing, awareness, events and advocacy for companies in Ottawa working in the eBusiness space. eBC works with business, government, institutions (universities, colleges, education) and organizations (OCRI, ORNEC, other business forums) to promote the development of Ottawa's eBusiness value chain.
