Come and learn about a major business opportunity developing not only in Canada but also in key markets including the United States, UK and Australia.  Public safety voice and data interoperability is the greatest challenge facing Canadian public safety providers in times of crisis. Technology and applications are now catching up with the demand for first responders (police, fire ambulance) to have integrated voice and data networks and application. Wireless VoIP, open source software, GIS are creating an environment for first responders to respond to incidents (pandemics, terrorism incidents, wildfires, chemical spills) in a far more effective manner. Even day to day interoperability in many parts of Canada and cross border with the US are a challenge.

Talk and research is now moving to procurement with expected expenditures of several billion dollars in the next five to ten years. The Canadian Police Research Centre (CPRC) has been at the centre of the international cooperation in interoperability and will outline the opportunity and how to ensure that your products and services are positioned to capitalize on this recession proof market.
