Ottawa Companies invited to participate in Wireless Mission to San Diego!
On behalf of the Consulate of Canada-San Diego, OCRI Global Marketing and the Ottawa Wireless Cluster, we are pleased to announce that Ottawa has been chosen as the focus city for this years wireless mission to San Diego, November 12-14, 2007.
The objective of this mission is to provide Ottawa wireless companies with opportunities to develop their market in the San Diego region. The Consulate of Canada will work closely with companies to identify potential customers, partners and investment objectives.
The mission is being organized to coincide with two major ICT events organized by Commnexus: GadgetFest and MarketLink.
GadgetFest is an exhibition that highlights the newest technology to come out of San Diego . Participating companies have the opportunity to showcase their technology during the exhibition part of the event, as well as chance to compete for the award of Greatest Gadget. GadgetFest is a great opportunity to meet and network with those from all parts of the industry
MarketLink is an event where a selected number of companies are paired with multinational corporations (Samsung Electronics in this case), hoping to discover new business interests and partnerships. Selected Ottawa Companies will have the unique opportunity to present their technologies to SAMSUNG Electronics executives in a personalized one-on-one session.

Time: 5:00 pm.
Besides Gadget Fest and MarketLink, the program for the Mission includes a full day of market briefings, bilateral company-to-company meetings (organized by the consulate) and a wrap-up reception .
Last years mission was organized in cooperation with WiTec Alberta, and included the following companies: BlackLine GPS, Dynastream Innovations Inc., Emscan Corporation, Murandi Communications Ltd, NEWT/TRLabs, NexAira Inc., Alberta Venture Channel, WiTEC Alberta. Participants rated the value participating in the mission brought to their organizations as 4.6 out of 5 (a score of 5 indicated that the mission was extremely valuable).
